Liesbeth den Besten

Liesbeth den Besten studied Art History at the University of Amsterdam.

Since 1985 she is working freelance as a writer for Dutch newspapers, international magazines, and exhibition catalogues about crafts and design.

Besides this she is active as an advisor and jury member for governmental institutions, exhibitions and competitions, and she lectures, mainly about contemporary jewellery and ceramics, at international art academies.

She has made some exhibitions about jewellery, crafts and design. She is the chairwoman of the Françoise van den Bosch Foundation for contemporary jewellery.
